This is a week to have fun in the northwoods. One morning we will deliver fresh scones to your cabin -- warm and just out of the oven; one 'good weather' day we will cook up a walleye shore lunch down the lake at Campers Island; one dinner we will smoke some whole turkeys and big bone-in hams--cooked over hickory logs that we bring in from Missouri; one day before dinner we will present an appetizer buffet with complimentary wine; one breakfast we will feature 6 kinds of pancakes; and one evening we will feature Baked Alaska as our lead dessert.
One day we will go looking for moose and one night our head naturalist will take you on a wof howling expedition. This short week will be a time to relax and enjoy yourself. We will adjust with the weather, as the days unfold, so we pick the best days for each activity as we all enjoy our Indian Summer season. We have miles and miles of scenic hiking trails for you to explore, and with the leaves down, it is easier to see the moose.
This time of the year a pleasant evening in front of your fireplace, just relaxing in the peace and quiet of the northwoods, is a real tonic to the soul. Put on a movie, make a batch of popcorn for an old fashioned evening, all the better since we are out of cell phone coverage.
Includes: 5 nights accommodations in a lakeside fireplace cabin, all meals, canoes, kayaks, all our guided naturalist activities, one ride on our canopy tour, and other activities as noted above.
