Our themed gourmet weekends will feature special foods of a specific country. Since Minnesota has such strong roots from Germany and Norway we decided to start there. We will be presenting our special sauerbraten on our German weekend, plus many other breakfast, lunch and dinner specialties of that country. The Norwegian weekend will be a hoot as so much of our community comes from there. Our friends and neighbors are sharing many good recipes with us. We will have Norwegian fish cakes, lefsa, and more, but probably not the infamous Lutefisk.
