Walleye, lake trout, smallmouth bass — there’s plenty of action here. Excellent guides who have worked the area for years will escort you to some outstandingly productive locations. We can outfit you with everything — if it means good fishing, you’ll find it here.

For the past 75+ years here at Gunflint Lodge, fishing parties have found professionally trained guides who know where the “lunkers” are lurking. The lakes on the Gunflint Trail are home to some of the largest walleye in the state (several state records have come from the lakes on the Gunflint Trail), huge lake trout, lots of fat small mouth bass, and notable northern pike. If you think you might get hungry while you are out, be sure to let our fishing guides know that you are interested in their signature shore lunches! Fishing at Gunflint equates to friendly, professional staff, knowledgeable guides, and a sure adventure. After a day of fishing our comfortable cabins and gourmet food are an enjoyable welcome waiting for you back at the camp.
