This will be our 5th annual Gunflint Greenup weekend. For the first several years we have concentrated
on planting trees in the footprint of the Ham Lake fire, then we got into cutting back around them to give
them additional sunlight (called releasing them), and now we have boadened our mission. We will be planting,
releasing, and working on reestablishing the Gneiss Lake trail up to Blueberry Hill. This trail starts adjacent to the Chik-Wauk Museum.
Includes: 2 nights accommodations in a lakeside fireplace cabin and all meals. All of us will be part of the 5-6 hour of conservation work on Saturday.
In your spare time you are welcome to enjoy all our hiking trails. Taxes are additional. Be sure to bring nippers so you can help trim saplings in the releasing part of the work.
