If you don't need luxury, but want to stay dry and bug free …
… our new Rustic Cabins are just what you're looking for. More than a tent, but with just the necessities (or within a short walk of the necessities!). For the price of a cheap hotel you and your family or friends can stay in a knotty-pine paneled one-room cabin next to beautiful Gunflint Lake, right in the middle of some of the most pristine wilderness in the country.
In 2012, we built these new Rustic Cabins in a nice grouping adjacent to the existing outfitter bunkhouses. They sleep up to five people, with a double bed and twin bunk above and twin bunk beds adjacent . They each include a refrigerator, microwave, screened-in porch, picnic table outside and BBQ grill. Bath facilities are a short walk away in the main outfitters building.
To go with the cabins, you get to take advantage of the many hiking trails right out our back door, the guided naturalist activities and our canoes and kayaks. Those are included with your cabin. Of course you're also welcome to take advantage of all our other activities - boats, motors, riding stable and the Towering Pines Canopy Tour (additional cost activities).
The Rustic Canoer Cabin rentals include your accommodations, canoes, kayaks and all our guided naturalist programs, including guided fishing fun for the kids. These cabins are seasonal, available from May 8-October 15.
