The Gunflint region is home to several packs of Eastern Timber Wolf, the largest wolf species in North America. This has been their home long before any of us lived here. We are offering to share some of this heritage with you giving you a bit of knowledge, and some adventure hikes into the woods (both day and night.) The highlight of your experience will be the night howling
excursions, where we often get one of the wolf packs to howl back at us.
Your days at Gunflint will be filled with presentations, hikes in the forest looking for wolf sign and scat, and night excursions into the woods. In addition you will have some free time to explore on your own, go for a scenic drive, curl up by your cabin fireplace, or feed the wild birds at your feeder. |

Your Wolf Howling adventure includes accommodations, all meals, naturalist led wolf howling hikes and expeditions, a lecture on wolves, and as much wood for your fireplace as you need. There is a 3 night minimum with this package.
