If you don’t need luxury, but want to stay dry and bug free…

…our rustic Canoer Cabins are just what you’re looking for.  More than a tent, but with just the necessities (or within a short walk of the necessities!).  You and your family or friends can stay in a knotty-pine paneled one-room cabin next to beautiful Gunflint Lake, right in the middle of some of the most pristine wilderness in the country.

Canoer Cabins sleep up to five people, with a double bed and twin bunk above and twin bunk beds adjacent.  They each include a refrigerator, microwave, screened-in porch, picnic table outside and BBQ grill.  A shared fire ring is located just outside your door. Bath facilities and a shared sauna are a short walk away in the main Outfitters building. These cabins are seasonal, available from early May to late October.

Along with the cabins, you can take advantage of the many hiking trails right out our back door, the guided Naturalist activities and our canoes and kayaks.  Of course you’re also welcome to take advantage of all our other activities – boats, motors, riding stable and the Towering Pines Canopy Tour at an additional cost.
